The Magic Flute by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
This is the story of young prince Tamino who, by recommendation of the
Queen of the Night, will venture to enter Sarastro's kingdom and will
undergo dangerous ordeals in the name of Pamina's love. This is also
the story of Papageno, the facetious birdcatcher whose only dreams are
eating, drinking and... finding his Papagena! The Magic Flute is
Mozart's last lyrical work, it is also the most surprising due to its
mixture of genres and styles, from the fantastic tale to the
philosophical fable, from the viennese comedy to the virtuous opera.
Which contributes to its enviable position as one of the most popular
works in the repertoire.
